C and V, Canon 300D

"Love is complete and utter surrender. That's a big word, surrender. It doesn't mean letting people walk all over you, take advantage of you. It's when we surrender control, let go of our egos, that all the love in the world is there waiting for us. Love is not a game, it's a state of being."
Henry Miller, Reflections

Keri and Jeff in love.

What a nice sentiment.

I looked at this photo for a long time, noticing mostly the obvious parts: the look of the man's hands and his well-used overalls, his roughness contrasting with Viv's softness and roundness and smoothness. Then I finally noticed her hand tucked beneath his arm, her little fingers poking out just under his hand. Such a sweet detail. It ties in beautifully with the quote. Really lovely image (as usual).
